Death Notice
Peacefully, surrounded by tender loving care, at Bluewater Health Sarnia, Lily Garibaldi (nee Westlake) of Sarnia, passed away on March 5, 2010 at the age of 90.
Loving Mother of Donna Brewster (Dave) of Sarnia and Trudy Fletcher of Point Edward, grandchildren Dawn Weernink (Chris) of Kirkton, Ontario and Craig Brewster of Alberta, precious great grandson Thomas John Weernink, sisters-in-law Madge Garibaldi of Cambridge and Inez Garibaldi of Kitchener. Also survived by Don Longhurst, numerous dearly loved nieces, nephews and their families and Shalimar.
Predeceased by her devoted husband of 49 years Don Garibaldi and son-in-law Bill Fletcher, sisters Anne Lightfoot, Mercia (Mert) Westlake and Miriam Herman, sisters-in-law Cherry Westlake, Norma Westlake & Gabrielle Sparrow, brothers Leonard, Norman and Walter, brothers-in-law Jack Lightfoot, Lewis Herman, Patrick Garibaldi & Francis (Garry) Garibaldi and her very dear friend Isabel Wirta.
Special thanks to Dr. Greensmith, Staff of 4 North Complex Continuing Care and the VON Nurses and Personal Support Workers. We will not forget her gracious manner and never ending love for her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 7, 2010, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Sarnia.
