Death Notice

With profound sorrow on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, we mourn the sudden and tragic loss of Vanessa Leigh Crawford, age 19, of Corunna, ON.
Loving and cherished daughter of Lee and Annette Crawford of Corunna.
Adored granddaughter of Joan and the late Lorne Crawford and the late Leo and Marg Ryan.
Beloved niece of Doug and Gayle McPhail, Ron and Kathy Cooke, David Dickinson and Reta Devine, Dennis and Judy Ryan, Brian and Chris Taylor, and Nancy Pickle and Uncle Andy.
Survived by her godparents Scott Simpson and Brenda Swanson.
Loved and will always be remembered by many cousins and friends.
Vanessa graduated from LCCVI in Petrolia, ON and was attending Carleton University, majoring in Psychology and French. Vanessa had a passion for dance and was a member of the Bluewater Dance Troupe Competition Team and the St. Clair Youth Ballet where she performed in The Nutcracker. Vanessa also shared her passion for dance by teaching others at the Shirley Schram School of Dance.
Vanessa always had a smile on her face and lived life to the fullest. She was an adventurer at heart, which showed in her love for skydiving and her pursuit of excitement.
Family and friends were Vanessa’s priority and always came first in her heart.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 25, 2008, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, ON.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008, at St. Luke’s United Church, 350 Indian Road S., Sarnia, at 1:00 PM.
